What Are Server And What Are The Types Of Server?

A server is a device or system that gives information, records, facilities, or programs over a network to other machines, or clients. In definition, they are called servers as computers share resources with client machines. A server may be designed to perform a single task, such as a mail server, which acknowledges and stores email and instead delivers it to a client offering.   • Real-Time Communication Server Real-time communication servers, formerly known as chat servers or IRC servers, and sometimes still referred to as IM servers, allow large numbers of users to share information almost instantly.

How Does Server Work?
